Judge Thomas A. Rademaker - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Thomas A. Rademaker is an acting justice of the Nassau County Supreme Court in the Tenth Judicial District of New York. He was initially elected to the Nassau County Family Court in 2015. Then, in 2018, he was appointed by Chief Administrative Judge Lawrence K. Marks to the Matrimonial Center of the Nassau County Supreme Court.

Rademaker earned a B.S. in business economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 1993. He then completed a J.D. at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1996.

He began his legal career as an associate at David K. Lieb in 1997. The following year, he left the firm in order to become of counsel at Peace, Agresta, Lemke and Blum. Then, in 2000, he started his own private practice as a sole practitioner. He worked in that capacity for three years, eventually leaving to serve as a principal law clerk to the Hon. Philip M. Grella of the New York State Court of Claims.

His memberships have included the Nassau County Bar Association, the Criminal Courts Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
