Biography

Hon. Susan B. Maulucci is a judge for the 12th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Manatee County. She was elected to the bench in 2014.

The 12th Judicial Circuit includes DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties. Maulucci has presided over the Circuit Juvenile Division K in Manatee County.

Prior to her election, she spent ten years as a magistrate for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit (2004 to 2014). Before that, she was an attorney in private practice attorney and a prosecutor for the State of Florida.

Maulucci received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1979. She went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law, in 1982.

She was admitted to practice in Florida in 1984.

Maulucci received the Making a Difference Award from the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar (2011), the Community Service Award from the Florida Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (2012), and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Manatee County Bar Association (2015).
