Judge Steven C. Tolliver, Sr. - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Steven C. Tolliver is a judge for the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was elected to the bench in 2013 for a term that will expire in 2023.

Tolliver received his undergraduate degree from Oberlin College in 1977. He received J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law in 1980.

He is a member of the Montgomery Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the NAACP, and served the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board as a Hearing Committee member. Tolliver received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition and is a recipient of an American Cities Foundation Community Leadership Award. He also founded Cheltenham Achievers Network, a nonprofit organization that provides educational enrichment programs for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students.

Tolliver has lived in Cheltenham Township with his wife and their three sons.
