Biography

The Hon. Michael A. Flowers is a judge on the 1st Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Flowers was elected to the bench on November 2, 2010, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Frank L. Bell. He resigned on April 14, 2022, and returned to private practice.


The 1st Judicial Circuit encompasses Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton Counties. Flowers held assignments in Okaloosa County.


Prior to his election, Flowers spent twenty-five years as an attorney in private practice in Okaloosa County.


Flowers earned a B.S. from Florida State University in 1981. He then completed a J.D. at Samford University, Cumberland School of Law, in 1985.
