Judge Mark R. Wolfe - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Mark R. Wolfe is a judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Hillsborough County. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2004.

Wolfe has held assignments in the Civil, Family, Criminal, and Juvenile Delinquency Divisions. He began his judicial career as a judge for the Hillsborough County Court, after receiving an appointment by then-Governor Bush in 2000.

He attended the University of Notre Dame, where he received a B.B.A. in 1978. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law in 1981. He is Board Certified in Appellate Practice by the Florida Bar (1996).

After graduating from law school, Wolfe spent time as a public defender and private practice attorney.

Wolfe has served on the Florida Bar Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee (chair) and the Florida Bar Constitutional Judiciary Committee. He was also a court representative on the board of directors of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

Wolfe was born in Vincennes, Indiana.
