Judge Kristina K. Mobley - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Kristina K. Mobley is a judge for the Clay County Court in Florida. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Scott in 2015, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Richard R. Townsend (Ret.).

Prior to her appointment, Mobley was a judicial staff attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit, a position to which she was named in 2009. During her tenure there, she held assignments in both Duval and Clay Counties. Mobley also gained experience as a Clay County truancy magistrate.

Mobley received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of North Florida. She then spent the next eleven years working as a teacher before completing a J.D. at the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law, in 2009.

Born in Daytona Beach, Florida, Mobley is a longtime resident of Clay County. She and her husband, Joe, a principal at The Fiorentino Group, have three adopted children. At the time of her appointment, the family resided in Fleming Island, Florida.
