Biography

The Hon. Jeffrey M. Rich is a judge for the Hillsborough County Court in Florida. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Ron DeSantis on September 16, 2021, filling a new vacancy created by the Florida Legislature.


Prior to his appointment, Rich was a sole practitioner in his own private practice, a law firm he opened in 2008. Before that, he spent time as an assistant public defender in the Office of the Public Defender for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit.


Rich earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 2003. He then completed a J.D. at Florida Coastal School of Law in 2005.
