Biography

Hon. Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe is a judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida in Hillsborough County. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Scott in 2017, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Herbert Baumann, Jr.


During her judicial tenure, Gaylord Moe has held assignments in the Unified Family and Civil Divisions.


She received a bachelor's degree in sociology from Furman University in 2001. Gaylord Moe went on to complete a J.D. at Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, in 2005. While attending law school, she served as an intern to the Hon. Kenneth B. Bell with the Florida Supreme Court and to the Hon. Jeffrey Hotham with the Maricopa County Superior Court.


After graduating from law school, Gaylord Moe began her legal career as a law clerk for the Hon. Virginia M. Hernandez Covington with the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, a position she held for two years.


Upon completing her clerkship in 2007, Gaylord Moe became an equity shareholder at Bush Ross, P.A., where she practiced in the firm's Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She remained with the firm until her appointment to the bench.


Her memberships have included the Litigation Council of America and the Cheatwood Inn of Court. She has also held various positions with the Federal Bar Association, including serving as a past president, and she has served as chair of the Florida Bars Grievance Committee for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.


In 2015, Gaylord Moe was appointed to serve on a Merit Selection Panel for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, in which she assisted in selecting two U.S. Magistrates to fill vacancies on the court.
