Biography

The Hon. Adrian G. Soud is a judge for the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeal. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Ron DeSantis on January 1, 2023.


Prior to his appointment, Soud was a judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit Court, a position to which he was elected in 2008. The 4th Judicial Circuit encompasses Clay County, Duval County, and Nassau County. Soud held assignments in Duval County and Nassau County, presiding over cases in the Civil Division, the Family Division, the Criminal Division, and the Appellate Division.


Soud earned a B.S. from the University of Florida in 1996. He then completed a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law in 1999.


After graduating from law school, Soud began his legal career as an attorney at Holland & Knight. His general litigation practice included work in the areas of medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation, product liability, and maritime law. He remained with the firm until 2002, at which time he joined his brother as a partner in the Soud Law Firm.


His memberships have included the Florida State Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision. He has also been involved with the Discovery Board of the Ronald McDonald House.


He is a recipient of the Judicial Award from the Victim Assistance Advisory Council of the City of Jacksonville (2013).


Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Soud is the son of the Hon. A.C. Soud, a former judge on the 4th Judicial Circuit Court. He and his wife, Marcie, have two children.
