Hon. William E. Vance (Ret.) was a judge for the Jackson County Circuit Court in Indiana. He retired in December 2012.
Over the course of his legal career, he was a partner at Vance & Phillips.
Vance received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Ball State University. He went on to complete a J.D. at Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1974.
Vance was admitted to practice in Indiana (1974), the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana (1974), the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (1975), and the United States Supreme Court (1978).
