The Hon. Timothy E. Brazil (Ret.) served as a judge for the 31st Judicial District Court of Kansas. He retired from the bench in 2011.
The 31st Judicial District encompasses Allen, Neosho, Wilson, and Woodson Counties.
Brazil earned a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in 1975.
After graduating from law school, Brazil began his legal career as a staff attorney with the Kansas Insurance Department. He served in that capacity until 1978, at which time he entered into private practice at Henshall & Pennington in Chanute. Brazil specialized in workers compensation, personal injury, and civil litigation matters.
His memberships have included the Kansas Bar Association and the Kansas Association of District Judges. He has also been involved with the Kansas Supreme Court Access to Justice Committee.
