Biography

The Hon. Steven Lowery Parkhurst is a judge for the 126th District Court of Texas in Orange County. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Greg Abbott in 2018.

Prior to his appointment, Parkhurst was a partner at Dies & Parkhurst, specializing in personal injury, criminal, and divorce/custody litigation.

Parkhurst earned a B.S. in biology from Sam Houston State University in 1992. He then completed at J.D. at South Texas College of Law Houston in 1996.

His memberships have included the Orange County Bar Association and the Jefferson County Bar Association. He also sat on the State Bar of Texas District 3 Grievance Committee and the Jefferson County Bar Association Pro Bono Steering Committee

Parkhurst is a registered Republican.
