The Hon. Patricia S. Fix is a circuit judge for the Lake County Circuit Court in Illinois. She was elected to the bench on November 6, 2012.
Over the course of her judicial career, Fix has held assignments in the Felony Section of the Criminal Division.
Fix earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1988. She then completed a J.D. at Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1991.
After graduating from law school, Fix began her legal career as an assistant state’s attorney for the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office. During her tenure there, she served as Chief of the Cyber Crime Division and Chief of the Traffic Division. She also founded the Domestic Violence Courtroom and the Computer Crimes Task Force.
Her memberships have included the Lake County Sexual Assault Council and the Illinois Computer Crime Task Force. She also sat on the College of Lake County Computer Forensics Advisory Board.
She is a recipient of the Illinois Homicide Association Award, the Fred L. Foreman Criminal Justice Award, the U.S. Postal Inspectors Award of Excellence, and the Illinois Attorney General Child Exploitation Task Force Award.
Fix is registered as a Democrat.
