The Hon. Patricia Macke Dick is a judge for the 27th Judicial District Court of Kansas in Reno County. She was elected to the bench in 1988.
Dick was appointed Chief Judge of the 27th Judicial District in 2007.
Prior to her election, she was in private practice at Hranine, Chalfant & Hill.
Dick received a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. She then completed a J.D. at the University of Kansas School of Law.
Her memberships include the Reno County Bar Association, the Kansas Women Attorneys Association, the American Bar Association, the National Conference of State Trial Judges, the National Associaton of Women Judges, the Kansas Judicial Council, the Kansas Bar Foundation, the Kansas Council of Chief Judges, and the Kansas Bar Association.
Dick is also a past president of the District Judges Association Executive Board. In addition, she has been involved with Hospice and Homecare of Reno County; the Hutchison Hospital Board of Directors; the Hutchison Salvation Army Advisory Board; the Kansas Youth Choir, Inc. Board of Directors (past president); the Samaritan Counseling Center; the Sunbeam Daycare Center; and the Buhler Sunshine Home, Inc. Advisory Board.
Dick was named Reno County CASA Advocate of the Year and is the recipient of the Governor’s Conference Award for Outstanding Service to Kansas Children and Facilities, the Kansas Bar Association Outstanding Service Award, the Kansas Children’s Service League Outstanding Service Award, and the National Association of Counsel for Children Outstanding Legal Advocacy Award.
She and her husband, David, have three grown children and several grandchildren.
