The Hon. Neil B. Foth is a judge for the 10th Judicial District Court of Kansas in Johnson County. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Kathleen Sebelius on January 6, 2009.
Foth presides over the Family Court and Child in Need of Care dockets.
Prior to his appointment, he was an attorney at Foth & Orrick, LLP since 1988. Before that, he had a civil trial practice at Couch & Pierce, Chtd. (1987 to 1988) and was a former public defender with the 3rd Judicial District Public Defender’s Office in Shawnee County (1984 to 1987).
Foth received a B.A. in English from the University of Kansas in 1981. He then completed a J.D. at the University of Kansas School of Law in 1984.
His memberships include the Johnson County Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas District Judges Association, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, and the American Judges Association.
Foth was born in Topeka, Kansas. He is the father to two grown children.
