The Hon. Martin J. Massell is a judge for the Nassau County District Court in the Tenth Judicial District of New York. He was initially elected to the bench in 2003.
Massell earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Long Island University - Post in 1973. He then completed a J.D. from the Widener University School of Law in 1976.
Prior to his election to the bench, Massell was an attorney in private practice, handling felony and misdemeanor cases for twenty-two years. He also served as a deputy town attorney for the Town of Oyster Bay from 1982 to 1983.
His memberships have included the Nassau County Bar Association, the Nassau County District Judges Association, and the New York State District Court Judges Association.
Massell is registered as a Republican.
