The Hon. Marilyn M. Wilder is a judge for the 9th Judicial District Court of Kansas. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Sam Brownback in 2015, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Richard B. Walker.
The 9th Judicial District includes Harvey and McPherson Counties. During her judicial tenure, Wilder has served as Chief Judge of the 9th Judicial District since being named the post by the Kansas Supreme Court in 2021.
Prior to her appointment, she was an attorney at Adrian & Pankratz in Hesston.
Wilder received a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University. She then completed a J.D. at Indiana University School of Law.
Active in her community, Wilder is credited with helping to establish the Heartland Pregnancy Crisis Center and Heart-to-Heart Child Advocacy Center.
