The Hon. Lori A. Bolton Fleming is a judge for the 11th Judicial District Court of Kansas. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Sam Brownback on May 11, 2012, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Donald R. Noland.
The 11th Judicial District includes Cherokee, Crawford, and Labette Counties. Fleming has served as Chief Judge of the 11th Judicial District, since her appointment by the Kansas Supreme Court in 2021.
Prior to joining the bench, she worked as a private practice attorney since 2003, including as of counsel at Wilbert & Towner, P.A.. Before that, Fleming was an assistant county attorney for two years (2001 to 2003).
She received a B.M.Ed. from Pittsburg State University in 1996. Fleming then completed a J.D. at Washburn University School of Law in 2001. While a law student, she was Editor-in-Chief of the Washburn Law Journal.
Fleming is a past president of the Crawford County Bar Association. Her other memberships include the American Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, and the Kansas District Judges Association. In 2023, she was appointed by the Kansas Supreme Court to serve as a member of the Rural Justice Initiative Committee.
Fleming was raised in Fort Scott, Kansas, where she attended Fort Scott High School.
