Hon. Joseph F. Grammer is a judge for the Bay County Court in Florida. He joined the bench in 2009.
Prior to beginning his judicial career, Grammar worked as a prosecutor with the Office of the State Attorney since 1981. He also taught as a faculty member of the National College of District Attorneys and was an instructor for the Florida Prosecuting Attorneys Association.
He received an A.A. from Gulf Coast Community College (1976) and a B.A. from the University of Georgia (1978). Grammar went on to complete a J.D. at Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law, in 1981. He was admitted to practice in Florida in 1982.
Grammer has served as a Fourteenth Judicial Circuit representative for the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar and sat as a member of the state bar’s Code and Rules of Evidence Committee. He was also a president of the Bay County Bar Association.
He attended Bay County High School.
