Hon. Jose D. Salinas is a judge for the Marion County Superior Court in Indiana. He was elected to the bench in 2006.
Salinas has held an assignment in the Criminal Division.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas-Pan American in 1989. Salinas went on to complete a J.D. at Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1997.
Salinas was raised by his grandparents in south Texas. As a teenager, he worked alongside his family detasseling corn. Salinas also spent four years as a probation officer.
When not presiding over legal matters, he enjoys unwinding by watching television.
