The Hon. Jeff Dewey is a judge for the 18th Judicial District Court of Kansas. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Sam Brownback on August 3, 2016, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Douglas R. Roth.
The 18th Judicial District encompasses Sedgwick County.
Prior to his appointment, Dewey was a partner at Dewey & Lund. He specialized in family law and bankruptcy matters, supplementing his practice with service as an adjunct professor at the School of Business at Wichita State University.
Dewey earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wichita State University. He then completed a J.D. at Washburn University School of Law.
Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Dewey attended Wichita Public Schools.
He is registered as a Republican.
