The Hon. Frank I. Grey is a judge for the Pasco County Court in the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida. He was elected to the bench on November 6, 2012, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Robert P. Cole (deceased).
Prior to his election, Grey spent the bulk of his legal career in private practice, where his areas of practice included civil matters involving real estate, landlord and tenant, code enforcement, and zoning and land use issues. He was a sole practitioner at Frank I. Grey, P.A. (2003 to 2012); a partner at Davis & Grey (2004 to 2012), Hobby, Grey & Reeves (1995 to 2003), Hobby, Grey & Kuenzel (1994 to 1995), and Roberts, Sojka, Grey & Doran, P.A. (1991 to 1994); and an associate at Craig C. Villanti, P.A. (1990 to 1991) and Martin & Figurski, P.A. (1985 to 1990).
He received an A.A. from Pasco Hernando Community College and a B.S. in interdisciplinary natural science from the University of South Florida (1982). Grey went on to complete a J.D. at Stetson University College of Law in 1985.
He sat as a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee on the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and the Citizens Ordinance Committee for Pasco County. He also heard ad valorem tax exemption issues as a special magistrate to the Value Adjustment Board beginning in 1993.
Grey was born and raised in Pasco County, where his family has resided since 1912. He attended Gulf High School. Grey and his wife, Cheri, have three children.
