Hon. Bruce E. Wright is a judge for the Walton County Probate Court in Georgia. He was elected to the bench in 2012.
Prior to joining the judiciary, Wright was the chief deputy sheriff of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, a position he held since 2005. He first entered law enforcement as an officer with the City of Monroe Police Department in 1989.
Wright received a bachelor’s degree from Columbus State University.
He is also a graduate of Walton County Leadership, Class of 2007.
He has sat on the Board of Directors of the Walton County Department of Family & Children Services and is a Master Mason with Lodge 566 and a member of the Loganville American Legion Post 233.
Wright was named Monroe Police Officer of the Year (1991) and the Walton County Chamber of Commerce Public Servant of the Year (2007).
He and his family resided in Monroe at the time of his election.
Wright is registered as a Republican.
