Hon. Bruce A. MacTavish is a judge for the Jackson County Superior Court in Indiana.
MacTavish hears divorces, juvenile delinquency, CHINS, juvenile termination, juvenile status offense, protective orders, paternity, IV-D child support, and reciprocal support cases.
Prior to joining the bench, he was a partner at Montgomery, Elsner & Pardieck.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. MacTavish went on to complete a J.D. at Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1986.
He was admitted to practice in Indiana (1986), the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
His memberships include the Morgan County Bar Association, the Jackson County Bar Association, the Grant County Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
MacTavish was born in Albany, New York.
He is registered as a Republican.
