Hon. Amber C. Collins-Gebrehiwet is a judge for the Marion County Circuit Court in Indiana. She was elected to the bench on November 8, 2022.
Collins-Gebrehiwet was a magistrate in the Marion County Circuit Court at the time of her election, a position to which she was appointed in 2019.
Before joining the bench, she worked for over seven years as a deputy prosecutor with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
Collins-Gebrehiwet received a B.S. in public policy from Northwestern University. She went on to complete a J.D. at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. She was admitted to practice in Indiana in 2009.
After graduating from law school, Collins-Gebrehiwet entered into private practice, where she remained until becoming a Marion County prosecutor.
Collins-Gebrehiwet has served as a board member of the Red Cross of Central Indiana.
A native of Marion County, Indiana, she attended Pike High School.
Collins-Gebrehiwet is registered as a Democrat.
