The Hon. Amanda B. Dunn is a judge for the 11th Judicial District Criminal Court of Tennessee. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Bill Lee on September 29, 2023, filling a vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. Tom Greenholtz to the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals.
The 11th Judicial District encompasses Hamilton County. Over the course of her judicial career, Dunn has presided over the Hamilton County Felony Drug Recovery Court.
Prior to her appointment, Dunn was an attorney at Houston & Alexander, a legal practice she joined in 2013.
Dunn earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1999. She then completed a J.D. at Wake Forest University School of Law in 2004.
After graduating from law school, Dunn entered into private practice in Chattanooga, representing clients at both the state and federal level.
She is a recipient of the Unbossed Award from Girls, Inc. (2013).
A resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dunn attends Hixson United Methodist Church.
