To whom it may concern,
I do not dispute that I owe Physicians Regional which I was paying at $600
per month.
My dealings with this hospital have all been in bad faith. It took them
over 3 months to provide an itemized bill. I then entered into a pay plan
at $400 per month for 2 months then moving to $600 per month. Apparently
the second $400 payment did not go through. But they continued with the
agreement for 5 months taking $600 each month.
In November I was contacted by their lawyers who asked if the $600 per
month was comfortable. When I said yes, they informed me that the hospital
would be sending a new agreement that I needed to sign to authorize the
continued debit to my credit card. They never sent the agreement and then
stopped debiting my credit card.
As I have retained a lawyer to file for medical bankruptcy once a
judgement is made. I will not pay the hospital $103,000!!!
I'm more than willing to pay the $2700 that BCBS would pay and because of
the time value of money, I'm willing to add $200 a day for a total of
$2900 per day. As I was in the hospital for 11 days, I'm willing to pay
the hospital $31,900 (total) not $10,000 a day for bad food, a tv that
didn't work and a bed!
I have paid the surgeon's bill in full and am paying the remaining
professional bills on a monthly basis. These will not be part of the
medical bankruptcy as they have been working with me in good faith!
