223 INTHE THIRD JUDICIAL ORCUTT OF FLORIDA ZOITAPR HAIG 2 Assignment Order No, 2017-027 IN RE: ORDER TEMPORARILY APPOINTING JUDGE SLAUGHTER TO PRESIDE OVER CASES SPECIALLY ASSIGNED TO JUDGE DECKER WHEREAS, Circuit Judge Andrew J. Decker, III, is currently suspended by order of the Supreme Court of Florida from presiding over any case until September 5, 2017, and WHEREAS, because of Judge Decker’s suspension, the Honorable William Slaughter, Senior Judge, has previously been assigned, pursuant to Assignment Order 2017-007(A) to preside over all civil cases in Madiyon and Hamilton Counties that constituted the main assignments of Judge Decker prior to his suspension, and WHEREAS, there are other cases, in other counties of the Third Fadicial Circuit, to which Judge Decker was assigned due to the disqualification or recusal of other judges, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint a judge to preside over those cases during the temporary suspension of Judge Decker, it is therefore ORDERED: that the Honorable William R. Slaughter will be temporarily assigned to any case or cause of action that was previously specially assigned to Judge Decker.
